The main objective of this thesis is thus to thoroughly examine the use, the practicalities and the obstacles in implementing the COQ programs. A worldwide-launched questionnaire was used to gather the data from the quality professionals in the companies of various sizes, industrial sectors and geographical locations.
A series of focused semi-structured personal interviews with managers and persons responsible for quality in several multinational companies were carried out in order to add the depth to the investigation, to validate the questionnaire and to verify the results.
